Programmes for every age and stage
From first pocket money to investment portfolios, we guide young people through each financial milestone with practical, engaging education.
Financial education isn't one-size-fits-all. An eight-year-old learning about pocket money needs a different approach than a sixteen-year-old preparing for student finance.
We've designed five distinct programmes, each tailored to specific developmental stages and financial challenges. Choose based on your child's age, current knowledge, and immediate learning goals.
One-on-One Financial Coaching for Kids
Ages 8-12
Personalised sessions designed around your child's interests and learning pace. We begin with a conversation about what money means to them, then build from that foundation.
Topics covered include:
- Understanding where money comes from and why it has value
- Managing pocket money and small earnings
- Setting achievable savings goals
- Distinguishing needs from wants
- Basic price comparison and value assessment
- Introduction to banking concepts
Each session lasts sixty minutes. We recommend starting with three sessions, then continuing based on progress and interest. Sessions occur fortnightly to allow time for applying concepts at home.
Parents receive a brief summary after each session, including suggested activities to reinforce learning between meetings.
Family Financial Literacy Workshops
All ages (family groups)
Learn together. These interactive workshops bring the whole family into the financial conversation, building shared understanding and opening dialogue about household money management.
Workshop structure:
- Opening discussion: family money values and goals
- Collaborative budgeting exercise for a fictional family
- Savings challenge game with immediate trade-off decisions
- Age-appropriate breakout activities (kids work separately from adults)
- Reconvene to share insights and create family financial action plan
- Take-home resources for continuing conversations
Workshops run two hours and accommodate families of three to six members. We adapt activities to the youngest participant's age while keeping everyone engaged.
Many families schedule follow-up workshops six months later to review progress and tackle new concepts.
Teen Money Management Course
Ages 13-17
This six-week programme prepares teenagers for financial independence. Small groups foster peer discussion and shared problem-solving.
Weekly topics:
- Week 1: Reality budgeting—creating a budget based on actual income and expenses
- Week 2: Part-time work—understanding payslips, tax, and National Insurance
- Week 3: Banking—choosing accounts, understanding overdrafts, avoiding fees
- Week 4: Student finance—loans, grants, budgeting for university
- Week 5: Debt and credit—how credit works, when it's useful, when it's dangerous
- Week 6: Financial planning—setting goals and creating sustainable systems
Sessions meet weekly for ninety minutes. Groups maximum eight participants to ensure everyone contributes to discussions. Participants complete a short practical assignment between each session.
By the end, each teen has created their own personalised budget and three-month financial plan.
Savings & Budgeting Bootcamp
Ages 10-14
An intensive, hands-on day focused on building practical money management skills. Perfect for kids who learn by doing rather than discussing.
Day structure:
- Morning session: The budgeting game—participants receive fictional monthly income and must allocate across expenses, savings, and wants while navigating unexpected costs
- Lunch break: (provided) During which we casually discuss real-life purchasing decisions
- Afternoon session: Personal goal-setting—each participant identifies a real item they want to save for and calculates exactly how long it will take with different saving rates
- Closing: Create tracking system and commit to three-month challenge
The bootcamp runs from 9:30 to 15:30 with breaks and lunch included. Maximum twelve participants per session.
We offer follow-up check-ins at one month and three months to help participants stay on track with their savings goals.
Investment Basics for Young Adults
Ages 16-19
Young people preparing for university or entering the workforce need to understand wealth-building beyond simple savings. This course demystifies investing without overwhelming participants.
Four-session curriculum:
- Session 1: Investment fundamentals—stocks, bonds, funds, and how markets work
- Session 2: ISAs, pensions, and tax-efficient saving—using the system intelligently
- Session 3: Risk and diversification—portfolio simulation exercise
- Session 4: Creating a personal investment strategy based on goals and timeline
Sessions meet fortnightly for two hours each. Maximum six participants to allow detailed discussions and individual questions.
We use a portfolio simulation tool where participants manage fictional investments and observe how different strategies perform over time.
By course end, each young adult understands how to open their first ISA and has created a realistic long-term wealth-building plan.

Not sure which programme to choose?
Every child's financial education journey is different. If you're uncertain which service best fits your needs, reach out via our contact page. We'll have a brief conversation about your child's age, current understanding, and learning goals, then recommend the most appropriate starting point.
Some families begin with one programme and naturally progress to another as their child grows. Others find a single course provides exactly what they needed. There's no prescribed path—we adapt to your family's situation.
